Description: Up for bid is the 1912 yearbook of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. This 336-page hardcover book contains pictures of the students and faculty, sports teams, clubs and other organizations, plus vintage ads and a review of the school year. It is oversized — 11 by 12 inches — and is in very good condition, with no writing on the pages. One page has a four-inch tear near the spine and another has a small piece at the corner torn off. This book is quite rare and coveted by collectors of IU memorabilia. Interestingly, there are three African-American players in the picture of the freshman baseball team. They are identified only by their last names: Phelps, Ghan and Summers. See my listings for other vintage items, including hundreds of yearbooks.
