Description: 1909-S-VDB VF/XF Lincoln Head Cent (Key Date)MY COMMENTS: THE GOOD NEWS: Nice Looking Better Grade Key Date Coin, Nice Color. The color tone is a bit uneven. Note that the color shows some wavy tones under Liberty, and on the left of the reverse. This uneven color happens when the metal the coin blank came from was not mixed 100% correctly. This means the coin was made like this, it is not something that happened after the coin was minted. Nice details on this coin. The reverse looks XF. The obverse is weak for an XF grade but still very nice. Full Date, Nice Mint Mark. Nice Hair, Ear & Bow Tie detail. The Wheat Lines on the reverse are full & complete. Many Lincoln Cents will have a stain, odd color, dirt in the details, or some sort of damage due to their heavy use. This coin has a few dings but nothing I can really call bad.
