Description: This stunning and ELEGANT black silk bodice and skirt set is the perfect choice for any cosplay, drama, re-enactment or museum display. (If I had to wear a mourning garment it would be this one!) The skirt and jacket belonged to a woman of significance and wealth. Probably around 1907... Intricately designed with fabulous details: SKIRT Bias cut skirt, full with four panels; tiered side panels. Front panel has a line of buttons down the front. Fastens up the back with snaps covered by silk covered buttons BODICE Pintuck & knife pleats. Mutton sleeves accented with pleated cuffs and handkerchief lace. Also, Lined to help maintain shape and silhouette. Stunning Braid trim accent frames the bodice Bow flags for covering the fastenings. Comes to a sharp point at the waist Buttons are silk covered. Condition is amazing for being 100+ years old. The buttons on the skirt show wear and a couple are missing. There's a small hole in the right insides of a right sleeve. There are 2 tears & 2-3" worn edge on the skirt hem. One has been stitched. There is one tear on 1 of the lap tear ruffles. The lace has come undone on a small section of the right sleeve cuff. A pleat on the skirt front has come undone.
