Description: This very attractive Knights Templar medal (jewel or badge) is a souvenir of the 26th KT Triennial Conclave held in Boston, Massachusetts, the last week of August, 1895. The pinback bar (attachment pin with hook-type catch) has the words 26TH TRIENNIAL BOSTON 1895, and the unusual banner-type 'drop' (fob) identifies the Saint Omer Commandery in South Boston, Massachusetts. There is no hallmark. This medal/jewel is composed of non-magnetic metal (likely brass) with a bright silver-toned surface treatment, which remains. For scale, the pinback bar measures approximately 49 mm (1-15/16") in width. [11D] This medal is in extremely fine condition, with no actual wear, with a very good silver color, and it remains bright. The pinback bar is detached from the drop but easily could be reattached. The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description. NOTE: The actual medal has much more detail, is much lighter in color (with a very good silver color over its entire surface), and is much more attractive than in the photos. Also, the brownish areas at the bottom of the drop do not appear on the actual item. The entire medal/badge has a very good silver color and is bright.
