1611 Finchingfield Essex 17th century Latin Vellum Document wax seal Calligraphy

Description: Hand written document on vellum measuring 14½ inches by 10½ inches. Dated 18 March 1611. Contents in Latin. Pendant wax seal. I cannot read the document so my description of the contents will be limited. Signed and sealed by: • John Herde of Finchingfield in the County of Essex, tailor. Relates to land in Finchingfield. Church Street is mentioned. CONDITION. Contents complete. Small natural imperfection to the right margin and a few tiny pin holes. Closed tear of about 2½ inches at the foot of the document (contents not affected). It is virtually invisible as a former owner has repaired it with book tape). Good clean condition. Wax seal is in good complete condition. The image looks to be a flower. Please see my other listings for similar documents
