Round Features: The James Earle Fraser design featured on this 1 oz. .999 fine silver round is based on the iconic Buffalo Nickel which was on the circulated US coin from 1913 until 1938. This round also has the new “radial lines” security feature as seen on more expensive Canadian and Australian rounds. The obverse of the round features the classic Native American chief with eagle feathers and hair braid, facing to the right. The only word that appears on the obverse is “Liberty.”The reverse features a Water Buffalo or American Bison standing on a small mound of earth.
